Social contribution
PPCS has a student body formed by different professionals who work in different companies and regional organizations, so that the knowledge obtained within the scope of the Program is applied directly in their respective fields of work. This knowledge is linked to the resolution of issues that are present in the daily life of the Amazonian society, so that the students of the Program are led to collaborate with the improvement of the living conditions of the population of the region and enable their social and economic development based on the sustainability. The reflection of the Program's actions within society can be perceived through the proposals developed by PPCS students through articles and dissertations that bring themes oriented to solve social and environmental problems, sometimes generated due to the installation of companies and others developments in the region, which are closely observed by these students. Because of this, the research relies on the collaboration of the local population in providing information that enables the progress of activities, which ends up promoting a close relationship between the external community and the academic environment.
